Today in the One Year Bible we read from Matthew 12:22-45. Jesus tells us that what we say reveals what's in our hearts. Good people say good things and produce good fruit. Evil people say evil things and produce evil fruit.
He says we'll give an account one day for every idle word we say. So let's be sure to watch what we say. And if you, like me, find yourself sometimes saying bad things and producing bad fruit, let's ask Him to make us holy like He is so we can produce good words and fruit.
God, please make us holy so we can speak the truth from our hearts.
