when God stops you

We read these verses today in the One Year Bible:

2 Kings 6:1-7:20
Acts 15:36-16:15

Proverbs 17:24-25

Paul and his companions are traveling around strengthening the churches and teaching them more about the faith. They try to enter a place called Bythnia, but God prevents them. Then God calls them to go to Macedonia instead.

God does that today, too. He'll give you a little "check" in your spirit, also called His still, small voice, that will prevent you from doing something. Sometimes you'll find out later why He did it-sometimes you never find out. 

But He's always looking out for you. 

God, thanks for protecting us from things we'll never see.
