singing in prison

We read these verses today in the One Year Bible:

Paul and Silas are thrown in jail (again) for preaching the gospel. Around midnight, they're singing praise songs in jail. And once again, God breaks them out of jail. 

But think about that... they were singing songs in jail. That's a snapshot of our faith. We're here in a foreign land that isn't our home, and it's a valley of tears. But we see the good that God is doing all around us, and we sing His praises. 

How can you praise God in the middle of what you're experiencing? He is good, all the time. Especially when times are worst. 

God, thank You for being worthy of our praise... even when we're in jail.
