Paul was tough

We read these verses today in the One Year Bible:

2 Kings 3:1-4:17
Acts 14:8-28
Psalm 140:1-13
Proverbs 17:22

In Acts, a crowd stones Paul and leaves him for dead! But then after they leave he gets up and goes back into the city. 

That's tough! Imagine having a crowd throw rocks at you until you fall down and they leave you for dead. But he got up and kept preaching the gospel. 

Are you that tough? Me neither. Fortunately God uses people like you and me, too. Sure it's good to be tough, and God can use your strength to do good things. But His strength is made perfect in our weakness, so don't be afraid to show Him yours. 

God, thanks for using strong people like Paul... and the rest of us, too.
