walk in the light

 We read these verses in the One Year Bible today:

2 Samuel 1:1-2:11
John 12:20-50
Psalm 118:19-29
Proverbs 15:27-28 

In John, Jesus tells us to walk in the light and that He has come to bring light to the world. And of course it seems logical that we should walk in the light, right?

But walking in the light requires courage. Because the light shows our sins. We have to confess our sins and repent of them to continue walking in the light. So I encourage you today: be brave! Walk in the light, and let God purify you from your sins. 

Your life will be much better that way.

God, thanks for giving us the light to walk in. Give us the courage to do so.
