What God Has Ready

Today we read from these verses in the One Year Bible:

Nehemiah 1:1-3:14
1 Corinthians 7:1-24
Psalm 31:19-24
Proverbs 21:4

Let's look at the Psalm. The writer says that God has been preparing things for us. "How abundant are the things You have stored up for those who fear You," it says. And we see this expressed again in the verse in the picture above: Eye has no seen, and ear has not heard, what God has ready for those who love Him.

God, who created all of the amazing, wonderful things around you - seahorses and the aurora borealis and glaciers and giraffes and flamingos - has been busy for a very long time getting things ready for us when we get home. It's going to be amazing. It is literally beyond anything we can imagine. So if you're struggling today, ask Him to help. The Psalm goes on to say that He is listening - even if our "city is under siege". So ask Him to help - and remember what He's getting ready for you.

God, thanks for all the amazing things you're preparing for us.
