Let's look at 1 Corinthians. This is the scandal of our faith. Jesus dying on a cross. We're so used to seeing it that it doesn't scandalize us anymore. But if we step back and think about it, God became a man, and then died. Then he rose again from the dead. It's astounding. It's hard to believe. That's why our faith is so important - we have to accept the scandal. We have to take it on his word that he really was who he said he was, and did what he said he did.
Blessed are those who have not seen, and still believe.
God, thanks for the scandal of our faith. Help us be patient with those who have not yet accepted it.
