Today we celebrate a really remarkable woman named St Margaret of Scotland. She was married to the king of Scotland in 1070. First, she convinced the king that prayer and the spiritual life were important. Then, she set the example for her entire kingdom. She focused her people's attention on God and the church, and helped the poor in Scotland. She did what so many of us try to do with varying levels of success - she led her family and her country by example into holiness. You can read more about her here.
