Today we read from 2 Kings 20:1-22:2 in the One Year Bible. The king is given very bad news - he's going to die. He weeps bitterly and asks God to have mercy on him.
And God does! Even though the king has done all kinds of bad things, God hears his prayers and sees his tears, and He has mercy on him and heals him.
That's what God is like. It would be easy for Him to just turn His back on us when we sin. But when we call out to Him, He welcomes us back and heals our wounds and makes us whole again.
Don't ever feel like you're too far gone. He will ALWAYS bring you back and heal you. Just ask.
God, thank You for loving us so much.
