He is not slow in keeping His promises

Today we read from 1 Chronicles 26:12-27:34. The passage reminds us that God promised to make the Israelites, who were descendants of Abraham, as numerous as the stars in the sky. It's easy for us to doubt that He would fulfill this promise, since Abraham got very VERY old before he had ANY children, let alone enough to fulfill this promise.

But He isn't slow in keeping His promises. He makes us wait sometimes, but waiting is good for us. Those of us who wait will be strengthened by Him. We will run and not grow weary. We will walk and not faint. He will help us fly like eagles to the fulfillment of the promises that He has made.

We need only trust in Him, and wait for His timing.

God, thanks for being faithful to Your promises.
