Today we read from 2 Chronicles 17:1-18:34 in the One Year Bible. And we read about something that was needed back when it was written, and something that we desperately need today.
In 17:9, we read, "They took copies of the Book of the Law of the LORD and traveled around through all the towns of Judah, teaching the people."
You know as well as I do how impoverished people today are when it comes to the truth. The media works nonstop 24/7 to spin things to fit their narrative. It's often hard to know what really is HAPPENING because the spin is so huge that the facts get lost.
There are deep and eternal truths that the Bible and the church teach, which people today need to hear. And while I do mean ALL people need to hear them, I also mean that Christians need to learn them. So many Christians today have no idea what their own Bible and church teach.
So I'm asking you, as you read this... say a prayer. Pray that God will provide the resources needed to educate the world, especially the people of God, about the truth. And pray that He will guide those who HAVE those resources to put together educational programs that will raise up disciples and saints.
God, thanks for showing us the depth of our need. Please help us fill it.
