unintentional sins
Today in the One Year Bible, we read from Leviticus 4:1-5:19. Moses is giving the Hebrews the laws governing what to do when they sinned unintentionally.
And that's important for us to realize. We sin unintentionally all the time. We do it against other people, when we don't treat them with the love and kindness that God shows us. We do it against God when we neglect to do the things that He asks, like going to church, helping the poor, and being holy.
So we should ask forgiveness regularly. Not just from God, but from one another. Make sure our relationships are good. Make sure love is evident in the way we treat everyone. It doesn't take much to say "I'm sorry", and it works wonders in a relationship.
God, thanks for teaching us to say we're sorry .... even when we sin on accident.
