Today in the One Year Bible, we read James 5:1-20. James tells us that we should be patient as we wait for God to fulfill His promises. And in other passages in the NT, we're told that He is not slow in keeping His promises, but He is patiently giving US time to "get things right" before He does what comes next.
Also, we're told in the OT that when we wait on Him we will renew our strength. We'll run and not be weary. We'll walk and not faint. We'll even mount up with wings, like eagles.
So don't grow weary. Don't give up. Keep waiting patiently for Him to do as He promised.
He will.
God, thanks for teaching us to patiently wait for You.
