Today in the One Year Bible, Peter tells us something profound in 1 Peter 1:1-12. He says that God the Father knew you and chose you long ago, and His Spirit has made you holy.
So if you want to be a saint, don't go about it by trying to do enough good things to be considered a saint. Instead, ask Him to make you holy. And then He will be doing the amazing acts of miraculous goodness through you, so you won't have to worry about becoming proud.
God, thanks for knowing us long ago, and making us holy.
