keeping our conscience alive

Today in the One Year Bible, we read from 1 Timothy 4:1-16. Paul tells us that in the last days, people will be hypocrites and liars, and their consciences will be dead.

Obviously we don't want to be hypocrites or liars. But how do we keep our conscience alive? Here is a link that gives us some good ideas on doing just that.

But to keep it simple, some good things we can do are to confess any known sins and make restitution for anything that we've done that hurt someone. And then, of course, ask God to help us to keep our conscience clear and alive. He will answer that prayer with a yes.
