why we're comforted

Today in the One Year Bible, we read from 2 Corinthians 1:1-11. Paul tells us that God comforts us for a reason: so that we can comfort others.

When you're down, and feeling like the weight of the world is on you, try cheering someone else up. You'll find that it works in reverse, too...God comforts us THROUGH our comforting other people.

Depression is no joke. If you're struggling, ask Him for help. He's good at giving you exactly what you need to feel better. Then be sure to return the favor and cheer up someone else. Maybe they'll pay it forward, too.

God, thank You for comforting us. Help us pass it on.
