Today we read from these verses in the One Year Bible:

Proverbs 13:2-3
Let's look at the Psalm. God makes it clear that there will be justice. If you feel like bad people are getting away with doing evil things and then prospering from it, don't worry. They will be brought to justice. The Bible is full of verses like these, where we are promised that the evil-doers who seem to be getting away with murder now will be brought to justice.
Thankfully, there will be mercy along with the justice. Because if not, we would all be condemned. But God is merciful and forgiving, so He will bring justice to those who have done evil, but will forgive those who ask Him for mercy.
Lord, have mercy on us.
God, thanks for teaching us that the evil will not get away with what they've done - and that You will have mercy on all of us.
