He Hears You: One Year Bible Reading for April 5

 Today we read from the One Year Bible in these verses:

Deuteronomy 28:1-68
Luke 11:14-36
Psalm 77:1-20
Proverbs 12:18

And let's look at the Psalm. So, you probably notice (if you read my blog regularly) that I've already written on God listening. But it's a recurring theme throughout the Bible, because we have to be told many times before we'll believe it (if then!)

Here's the thing. God doesn't work very quickly. He plays the long game. Sometimes His answers to your prayers take years - even DECADES - to happen. That's why I highly recommend keeping a journal. I do mine on my computer - I just keep a Word document open on my desktop called "Journal" and I write in it each day. That way you can see God working - with the broadest of broad strokes. He often answers prayers so long after you pray that you've forgotten you asked. But if you journal, you'll see what He did.

So don't despair. He hears you. He cares. And He's answering your prayer - but it will PROBABLY take awhile. Not might. Not could. PROBABLY will. So be patient and wait on God.
