Today in the One Year Bible, Jesus asks an important question. The passage is from John 5:1-23. Jesus goes to a place in Jerusalem where lots of sick people hang out by this certain pool. The belief, whether true or not, is that whoever is first into the pool after an angel stirs the waters will be healed. Jesus is walking by when he sees a man who has been sick for almost 40 years. He asks the man a great question. "Do you want to be healed?"
He asks you that question, too. The things that prevent you from being who He made you. Habits of sin. Bad thinking. Negativity. Maybe even demonic activity. He asks if you want to be well. And if you say "yes" (and that IS an "if". Some people actually want to stay sick.), He can heal you of whatever it is that holds you back, keeping you from being who He made you.
Do you want to be healed?
