Today in the One Year Bible we read from Matthew 25:31-26:13. Jesus tells a rather alarming story. He says that if we have fed the hungry, clothed the naked, visited the sick and those in prison... we've done these things to Him, which makes us sheep, and we go to heaven. If we have NOT done these things, we have neglected Him, which makes us goats, and we go to eternal punishment.
If you, like me, find yourself not doing these things... we better get busy doing them. Our eternal destination hangs in the balance. You might think "well I haven't done these things but I believe in Jesus so I'll be fine." Jesus said that even the demons believe and tremble. If we really believe in Him in the sense that John 3:16 means, we'll do what He says.
Let's get busy!
God, thank You for making it clear what we need to do to spend eternity with You.
