when God reminds you

 Today we read from these verses in the One Year Bible:

Judges 8:18-9:21
Luke 23:44-24:12
Psalm 99:1-9
Proverbs 14:9-10 

Let's look at Luke. The women go to the tomb and find angels instead of Jesus. They are wondering what this means, and the angel reminds them that Jesus had told them this would happen. "And then they remembered His words."

God will often times teach you things before you're ready to make sense of them. You'll learn verses from the Bible, or He will speak a word to your heart, and you'll be like, "OK. Don't know what that means, but I believe You."

Then days... months... sometimes years later, you'll smack yourself in the forehead and go "OH! THAT'S what you meant by that."

"And then you'll remember His words."

God, thanks for teaching us things - even when we're not quite ready to learn them.
