Today we read from these verses in the One Year Bible:
Zechariah 12:1-13:9
Revelation 19:1-21
Psalm 147:1-20
Proverbs 31:1-7
Let's look at Revelation. John tells us that Jesus, at the end of time, destroys the nations who rebelled against Him and rules the universe with an iron rod.
And this is recorded as something that is still to come from where we are looking into the future. But God is outside of space and time, and He already knows what "will happen". He has already done it. He has won.
So as we finish up the year 2022, and many things seem up in the air, rest in the fact that God has won. Will we face hardships? Absolutely. Will we win in the end?
We already have.
God, thanks for giving us the confidence that You've already won the war. Help us soldier on in this point in our timeline.
