God is awesome

 Today we read from these verses in the One Year Bible:

Isaiah 39:1-41:16
Ephesians 1:1-23
Psalm 66:1-20
Proverbs 23:25-28

Let's look at the Psalm. The writer is praising God for all of the amazing things He's made. And if you stop and think about it, it's natural to praise a great artist when you experience their work. When you hear a symphony by Mozart, you can't help but think and maybe say, "That guy is amazing." When you see Starry Night by Van Gogh, you think "wow, that painter was awesome!"

Well, now let's think about God. Not only did He make sunsets and giraffes and waterfalls and canyons and so many other amazing and beautiful natural wonders, but He made music and ears and our ability to make paint and eyes to see it with. Every creative thing man has ever done is built on the creativity that God already made. He even gives us our creativity itself!

So let's join the Psalmist in praising Him for being so awesome.

God - You are awesome!
