Today ee celebrate an humble man who tried to become a Jesuit. But the Jesuit order was removed from his native Brazil, so instead he joined the Franciscans. I relate to this because I was a Jesuit novice for 7 months, but left to find a wife when God called me to marriage. Now I'm thinking about becoming a third order Franciscan.
St Antonio lived a humble life as priest and porter. But people would travel from miles all over South America to hear him preach and perhaps even receive healing from him. His life took many unexpected turns, but every step of the way he trusted God to lead him.
Is your path twisty today? How can you more fully place your trust in Him today, like St Antonio? Ask Him to show you how.
