Today in the book In Caelo et in Terra, we read about St Josemaria Escriva. One day when he was a young man, he saw the footprints of a friar in the snow. He felt that God was calling him to do something unusual, using the image of those footprints. He ended up founding a new order, allowing people from all walks of life to live holy lives. He called this order "Opus Dei", or the Work of God. He was miraculously cured of diabetes, and worked for years helping men and women all over the world to become saints. You can read more about him here.
One step removed, God is now calling to YOU through those same footprints. What is He calling you to do?
God, thanks for the breath of fresh holiness You spoke into the church through the life of this man. St Josemaria Escriva, pray for us.
