We read a very impressive story today from the book In Caelo et in Terra. We read about St Paul Miki. He lived in Japan and was taught by Jesuits. He was almost ordained a priest when the government arrested him and took him along with two dozen companions to be crucified. He actually gave his last sermon while hanging on the cross, where he encouraged other Christians, forgave his killers, and inspired everyone who ever read his story.
