Today in the book In Caelo et in Terra, we read about two saints. They share a feast day, so we celebrate them together. Titus and Timothy were Paul's companions, and you can read more about them here. There was some trouble brewing in Corinth, because people lived in Corinth, and where there are people, there will be trouble. Titus and Timothy helped to calm the discord and bring peace back to that city and that church.
We see a ton of trouble brewing in the world today, right? And just like Titus and Timothy, we are called to bring peace. Not fake peace where we pretend to all get along with people who take the world in a bad direction. But true peace - through love and sacrifice.
God, thanks for giving us the example of these two saints. Saints Titus and Timothy, pray for us.
