Bl Timothy Giaccardo: He Trusted God for His Vocation

Today in the book In Caelo et in Terra, we read about Blessed Timothy Giaccardo. He felt God calling him to religious life, but he wasn't sure if he should be a priest or a religious brother. He trusted God to show him what to do, and God showed him the very thing that brought him great joy - to become a priest in a religious order. You can read more about him here.

God calls YOU to do His work, too, you know. And the place where you'll find the greatest joy is when you find what that is, and do it. Why is that? Well, it's simple, really. God made you. He knows what will make you really, truly joyful in the deepest part of your being. So when you follow His plan for your life, He'll give you the thing to do, and to be, that will make you the most satisfied and joyful that it's possible for you to be.

In this life, anyway.

God, thanks for giving us the great story of this saint. Bl Timothy Giaccardo, pray for us.
