Today in the One Year Bible, we read from Hosea 6:1-9:17. In this verse, we are reminded that God may allow us to suffer, but it's never for nothing. He allows us to be wounded, but then He uses those wounds for our benefit. The verse says, "He has torn us to pieces, now He will heal us."
So take heart. You will suffer in this life, that's a given. You don't have to go looking for it. Just be prepared for it to come. And when it does, know that He will use that suffering for your good.
In this world, you will have troubles. But take heart, He has overcome the world.
God, thanks for using our suffering to make us better.
