Today in the One Year Bible, we read from Ezekiel 16:42-17:24. In this verse, God tells the Israelites that "Your mother was a Hittite, and your father was an Amorite!" Of course, this brings Monty Python's famous line in the picture above to our minds. And even though it's a serious moment in the passage, that doesn't mean that God doesn't have a sense of humor.
Of course He does. If you look at all of the things He created, you see His humor on display. Humor is a good thing, and all good things come from God. So don't worry about God not having a sense of humor. His jokes are the best of all.
God, thank You for having a sense of humor and sharing it with us.
