every day a choice

Today we read from 2 Kings 15:1-16:20. We are given a list of kings, one after another, and we're told whether they did good or evil in God's sight. The ones who did good, even most of them didn't tear down the pagan shrines, so God wasn't happy about that.

You and I have the same choices today. Will we do good or evil in God's sight today? Every day we choose. The cool thing is that when you choose good day after day, it builds on itself exponentially, and turns into something bigger than its parts. If you do evil day after day, it also accumulates into bad habits that are hard to break.

So what will you choose today?

God, please help us to choose good.
