Today in the One Year Bible, Paul tells us in Hebrews 2:1-18 that God made Jesus a perfect leader through suffering. If you haven't listened to this yet, it will change your life if you take the time to listen.
But all of our lives have suffering in them. You don't have to go looking for it. Suffering will find you. And when it does, God can and will use that suffering to form you into a leader, as well. As long as you let Him, and don't become bitter instead.
So the next time suffering comes along, offer it up to Him. Ask Him to use it to make you a better leader. And you'll be amazed at what He does.
God, thanks for using suffering to make us into leaders.
