what you're famous for
Today in the One Year Bible we read from Philemon 1-25 (there's only one book of Philemon). Paul says that he's heard all about how Philemon's faith is growing and how much he loves people.
What are YOU famous for? When people hear about you, do they hear about your faith or how you love people? Isn't that what's most important?
Now, let's be real here. If you have really great faith and you love everyone, that doesn't mean you're gonna be famous for it. So this is just a little exercise in imagination. If you are truly full of faith and loving people, they're not going to be thinking about how full of faith and loving you are, most likely. They're just gonna be thinking about how much they like being around you and how much you seem to care about them.
So today let's commit to growing our faith in God, and loving one another. And leave the fame to those in the limelight.
God, thanks for showing us what's most important.
