worried about money
Today in the One Year Bible, we read from 2 Corinthians 11:1-15. Paul is talking to the Corinthians about how other churches paid his expenses while he ministered to those in Corinth. And he teaches many things in this passage, but the thing that we can take home tonight is that money worries are nothing new. You're not the first person to worry about how you're going to pay for things. And when God calls you to do His work, He calls you to do big things: bigger than you've got the funds for.
That can be scary. But when He calls you to do something, He gives you the funds you need to do it. And it's really good for our pride/humility when He does that. We're not tempted to be proud of "how much we did for God", when we have to depend on other people in order to make it happen.
It's almost like He designed it that way.
God, thanks for giving us big dreams - and for letting others participate in making in happen.
