Today in the One Year Bible, we read from 2 Corinthians 10:1-18. Paul says that he prefers to use his authority over the people of Corinth to build them up rather than to tear them down.
You know both types, right? Those who build you up with their words, and those who can't find a nice thing to say about anyone, but tears everyone down with their words?
Which will you choose today? You can build people up with your words, or you can tear them down. And if you don't decide which one, you'll probably find yourself doing the latter.
God, thanks for helping us build up other people with our words.
