the fine line

Today in the One Year Bible, we read from 2 Corinthians 5:11-21. Paul is being his usual boisterous self, and he says, "Are we commending ourselves to you again? No, we are giving you a reason to be proud of us." There's a mighty fine line between the two, as I think you'll agree.

But he mentions the reason we can stay on the good side of that line a few verses later. "Either way," he says, "Christ's love controls us." And as we know, love covers a multitude of sins.

That's why we want to wrap all of our actions in love. Do everything in love, and you will always find yourself on the right side of those fine lines.

God, thanks for Your love, which covers all our sins.
