the point of suffering
Today in the One Year Bible, we read from 1 Corinthians 11:17-34. Paul tells us that "When we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned along with the world."
This makes some sense of our suffering. He is making us into saints, and that involves some suffering along the way. If you would like to make MORE sense of your suffering, listen to this.
In the meantime, be assured that your suffering is not for nothing. Let it make you a better person, and resist the temptation to become a bitter person.
God, thanks for using our suffering for our good.
