love languages

Today in the One Year Bible, we read about the spiritual gifts. This is in 1 Corinthians 14:1-17. Paul tells us that it's important for us to speak in a language that people understand, or they won't get what God wants to tell them.

The greatest commandment is to love, right? But the word "love" means different things to different people. They way we EXPRESS love is different from person to person. As the five love languages tell us, some people need to HEAR loving words most often, while others need to feel physical touch. It's important to realize that sharing memes is the sixth and highest love language. (JK. Kind of.)

So what does that have to do with Paul? Well, we're called to love. But the way we express that love will vary a little from person to person. And we need to learn how best to express love to people in order to share His love with them. It's not like just going out and telling everyone, "I love you!" It takes time... and effort. But if you put in the time and effort, you can be like this guy.
