Today in the One Year Bible, we read from Romans 15:23-16:9. Paul tells the recipients of his letter in Rome to greet several people who are dear to him. And he talks about how he's excited to come visit them when he has the chance, because he sees their time together benefiting both of them.
That's one of the many reasons friends are so important. God works in our relationships so strongly that we're told where two or more of us gather, He's right there with us. We benefit each other as we grow from one another's faith.
So we should take Paul's advice and pray for each other. That our faith might increase, and that we might spur each other on to know Him better.
God, thanks for teaching us the importance of friends.
