His mysterious plan
Today in the One Year Bible, we read from Revelation 10:1-11. We're told that at a certain time in the future, the "delays" will be over, and God's mysterious plan will be revealed.
We see hints of that plan in our lives now, right? Little glimpses and suggestions of what He is doing. But we never see the whole picture. And it seems, from the passages in the Bible regarding faith, that it pleases God when we trust Him despite not seeing the whole picture.
But one day we will. In the words of St Julian of Norwich, He will make all things well, and all things well, and all manner of things well.
He will make things perfect. Work all of history for our good. Weave the beautiful tapestry from the crazy threads of our lives. We can trust that that moment is coming one day.
Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus. And help us trust You for the mysterious plan that we know You're working for our good.
