Today in the One Year Bible, we read from 1 Peter 1:13-2:10. Peter tells us the reason we've been set free from sin.
He says, "You were cleansed from your sins... so now you must genuinely love your brothers and sisters... deeply, with all your heart."
That pretty much sums up our mission in life. The greatest commandments are "Love God and love others". We've been set free from the sins we were born into, in order to allow us to do that.
Of course, it's easy to love some people. And it's virtually impossible to love others. Love the easy ones... and ask Him to help you love the hard ones. He will. That's His will for you.
God, thanks for setting us free to love... please help us love the tough ones.
