perfect from imperfection
Today in the One Year Bible, we read from Proverbs 21:1-2. The wise writer tells us that the king's heart is like a stream of water, directed by God who sends it where He pleases.
And we can emulate that king. We should strive for our hearts to follow the banks of God's direction, too, right? We can ask Him to direct our hearts, and then trust Him to do so in a perfect way. That's not to say that WE will be perfect, at least not yet. But He is very good at taking what we give Him, imperfect though it might be, and turning it into something perfect.
If you ask Him, He will direct the stream of your life. He will guide you where you should go. He'll provide the resources that you need to get there. And, if you ask, He'll even give you the DESIRE to go where He leads.
Just ask.
God, thanks for guiding the streams of our hearts. Help us to do Your perfect will with our imperfect lives.
