Today in the One Year Bible, we read from Acts 27:21-44. Paul and his friends are on a ship, and a huge storm comes along and threatens to sink them. Paul tells them that they WILL indeed be sunk... but that God in His goodness has decided to let everyone on board survive the wreck and make it safely to shore.
He's done this with all of us, through history. We are on a ship headed for the rocks, right? The world is headed in a bad direction. But God is not slow in keeping His promises as some understand slowness to be. Instead, He's waiting for us, patiently giving us time to turn from our sins and seek Him instead. He wants ALL of us to come to Him. So let's be patient with one another, as well. Let's help each other find Him, since that's what He wants.
Let's show a little of the kindness that He shows us.
God, thank You for being patient with us. Please help us show your kindness to others.
