God sees you
Hello! I'm feeling better, but my voice is still shot. So CLICK HERE to hear someone else read today's reading. I hope my voice is back tomorrow so I can start back on the YouTube recordings.
But today we read about Hagar. And this is one messed up story, isn't it? First, Sarah gives Hagar to Abraham to sleep with so that they can have children. That's bad enough. THEN Hagar starts treating Sarah badly because she was fertile and it looked like Sarah wasn't. THEN Sarah starts treating Hagar so badly that she runs away. It goes from bad... to worse... to worst.
But then. God steps in. Even though so many human mistakes have been made along the way, God sees Hagar and hears her cry. He sees her. And He hears her cry.
And then He takes care of her. And blesses her beyond her ability to fathom.
No matter where you are today. No matter what you've done, or what's been done to you. No matter what, He sees you. He hears your cry. And He will bless you beyond your ability to fathom.
Trust Him. He's listening.
God, thanks for always seeing us, and hearing us.
