What a Good Life Looks Like: One Year Bible Reading for June 10

 Today we read from these verses in the One Year Bible:

1 Kings 7:1-51
Acts 7:30-50
Psalm 128:1-6
Proverbs 16:31-33

Let's look at the Psalm. It gives us a snapshot of what a good life looks like, both thousands of years ago when the Psalm was written, and today! This is not to say every life should look like this - we are all called to different things. But for MOST of us, this is what a good life looks like.

Eating the fruit of your own labor. Having a spouse who helps you build a happy home. Having lots of children who grow your family in healthy relationships. And that family continuing to grow until you see your grandchildren and greatgrandchildren in flourishing families of their own, closely connected to yours.

Does that sound like what the world tells you is a "good life" in 2022? Something to think about.

God, thanks for showing us what a good life looks like.
