Today we read from these verses in the One Year Bible:
1 Samuel 26:1-28:25
John 11:1-54
Psalm 117:1-2
Proverbs 15:22-23
Let's look at Psalm 117. I SAID 117:1-2, but that's actually the whole chapter. It's the shortest chapter in the whole Bible. And then chapter 119, just two chapters away, is the LONGEST chapter in the Bible. Interesting, huh?
Since Psalm 117 is so short, let's read the whole thing together. It says, "Praise the Lord, all you nations. Extol Him, all you peoples. For great is His love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord."
Those are some words you can just SIT with and meditate on for hours. Just sit and REALIZE that God is amazing. He takes EVERYTHING in your life, and I mean everything, and works it for your good. He can ALWAYS be depended on to take care of you and love you. He will NEVER abandon you. And what He has prepared for you in heaven... is beyond your ability to imagine.
