Just Good Ol Hard Work: One Year Bible Reading for April 2

Today in the One Year Bible, we read from these verses:

Deuteronomy 21:1-22:30
Luke 9:51-10:12
Psalm 74:1-23
Proverbs 12:11

And let's look at the proverb. If you work hard, you will have plenty to eat. But those who chase fantasies lack common sense. Hard work is so good! It keeps you humble. It gives you a sense of accomplishment. It keeps you out of trouble! And when you do it intelligently, it provides for the needs of you and your family. Don't chase after get rich quick schemes. They don't work. Just find a good job (There are plenty out there! Everyone is hiring!) and do some good ol fashioned hard work.

You'll be glad you did.

God, thanks for giving us work to do, to give us satisfaction and keep us out of trouble.
