Today we read from the One Year Bible in the following verses:
Exodus 39:1-40:38
Mark 1:1-28
Psalm 35:1-16
Proverbs 9:11-12
And the beginning of Mark is a good place to start today. John is crying in the wilderness, telling people to repent of their sins and get ready for Jesus. And that's not something we just do one time and we're done, is it?
It's a good idea to repent of our sins and get ready for what Jesus wants to do in our lives every day. All of us mess up and none of us are perfect, so we all have these pesky little sins that build up each day. It's important for us to repent of those and prepare our hearts for Jesus to give us the gospel for each day. What good news will He speak into our lives? What miracles does He want to perform? Are you ready?
God, thanks for helping us to set aside our sins and get ready for Jesus each day.
