ordinary men, been with Jesus

Today in the One Year Bible we read from Acts 4:1-37. Peter is speaking to the crowds, and the Holy Spirit is speaking through him. The religious leaders are impressed because they can tell that they're ordinary men with no formal training, but that they'd been with Jesus.

Now, you may have some formal training in teaching or theology. But sometimes God wants us to set that aside and allow Him to speak through us anyway. You may NOT have any such training. In which case God also wants to speak through you into the lives of those who you know.

So that's good news. Whether you're trained or not, if you open yourself up to His spirit, He can use you to improve the lives of those you care about. You can reach out and heal them where they need healing. Just ask Him to speak through you, and be ready to let Him when He does.

God, thanks for using ordinary people like us to do amazing things.
