Today in the One Year Bible, we read from Luke 21:29-22:13. Jesus sends His disciples ahead to prepare the last supper. And when they go to do His will, they find that everything He says is exactly how it is.
This teaches us something, right? When we do the same thing: go to do His will... we find that everything is as He said. And what did He say?
He said don't be surprised when the world hates you.
He said in this world you will have trouble. But take heart, because He has overcome the world.
He said that you might have to give your life for Him - but if you do, you will be greatly rewarded for it.
There are Christians all over the world being martyred today. Pray for them. And be ready yourself, in case that honor falls to you.
God, thanks for sending us to do Your will, and for everything being just as You said.
